Prince Edward Island National Park is a national park located in Prince Edward Island, Canada.
It is located on the north coast of Prince Edward Island, facing the
Gulf of St. Lawrence. The park is 60 kilometers long and its width
varies from a few hundred meters to several thousand meters.
Prince
Edward Island National Park was established in 1937 to protect
beaches, sandbanks, and freshwater and saltwater wetlands.
These
protected sandy beaches provide good habitat for birds, especially the
endangered Piping Plover, which has been designated as an Important
Bird Area by Canada.
